CBS encomenda série inspirada no filme 'Taining Day'

O canal CBS encomendou um episódio piloto de "Training Day", baseada no filme de 2001 de Antoine Fuqua, que tinha o mesmo nome.

A série é descrita como se passasse 15 anos depois do filme, e segue um Afro-Americano idêntico ao personagem, ou seja, também um polícia que é transferido para uma equipa de intervenção na polícia de Los Angeles, onde ele tem como parceiro, um detective branco.

Fuqua irá ser o realizador do primeiro episódio assim como produtor executivo juntamente com Jerry Bruckheimer e Jonathan Littman.

O filme original valeu um Oscar a Denzel Washington como actor principal e a Ethan Hawke uma nomeação para actor secundário.
